TrailEagle at Startup Grind Global: A Global Network, a Local Voice

In late April, TrailEagle had the opportunity to attend the Startup Grind Global Conference 2025 in Silicon Valley as part of the Lansing delegation, alongside other founders, investors, and innovators from around the world.

While most attendees represented software, tech, and AI ventures, we were proud to bring something different to the table — an outdoor gear company rooted in community, design, and impact.

Representing TrailEagle at a global stage like this was a moment of pride and perspective.

Panels, Founders, and Global Insights

The conference featured speakers and panelists from some of the most influential names in tech and venture capital.

One of the most powerful sessions was a keynote with Kevin Systrom, co-founder of Instagram, who shared insights on founder decision-making and how to navigate today’s fast-paced startup world.

There was also significant focus on AI’s role in startups, especially in terms of how AI can create efficiencies, uncover insights, and push creative boundaries.

The biggest realization? AI isn’t just a tool for software companies—it has massive potential for CPG brands like TrailEagle too.

A Global Network, Right Next to You

Startup Grind is more than a conference—it’s a worldwide network. Within the first hour of day one, I found myself talking with someone from the Startup Grind Bangkok chapter.

That moment put it all in perspective: there’s a global community of entrepreneurs solving problems, building meaningful brands, and sharing ideas.

What This Means for TrailEagle This conference helped me think bigger about what’s possible for TrailEagle.

From applying AI in product testing or customer experience to exploring global brand partnerships, I walked away with new ideas, tools, and a deeper sense of where we can go next.

More importantly, it showed that startups from places like Lansing, Michigan belong in these conversations—especially when we bring something different.

Thank You

A huge thank-you to Startup Grind, Startup Grind Lansing, and the entire crew that made the Lansing delegation happen.

Special thanks to Expert Connexions, Julie Holton Smith, Ruben Levinson, David Smith, and everyone who supported, connected, or made space for TrailEagle in this incredible experience.

We’re back, recharged, and ready to build forward.
